Is It Okay To Share The Bed With Our Pets?

dogs sleeping bed pet sitting overnight dc montgomery countyOne of the most frequently asked questions we have from new clients is if we are okay with sharing the bed with their pets. Our answer is always, “YES!” In fact, a little known secret is that a pre-requisite for being a professional pet sitter is being a professional pet snuggler.

We have shared the bed with as few as one cat, to three dogs and two cats and we’re more than happy to do so.

One of the best benefits of hiring a pet sitter to stay overnight in your home with your pets is that your pet never has to experience an empty bed. That is a big change in routine that may cause them some stress if their bedtime routine is completely thrown off. They’re used to cuddling up with you at night and they’ll get to do the same with their pet sitter if that’s what they choose to do, as well.

For those pets that choose not to share the bed and sleep in their crates or their own beds we will get them all tucked in before we go to sleep.

☆ We provide overnight pet sitting in Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Olney, Rockville, Chevy Chase, Kensington, and NW Washington DC. Overnights are typically accompanied by one or two visits in the middle of the day. This type of pet sitting service is in very high demand by pet parents in the Montgomery County and DC metro area and we tend to book up pretty far in advance. Don’t forget to check your calendars and reserve the pet sitting you need for your pets before it gets too late. ☆
